Word Game

A typical Thursday. Haley went to gymnastics practice tonight. On the ride home from Greenville, we played the 'word' game. This game consists of one person choosing a word, telling the other people in the car how many letters are in the word - the first and last letter of the word. Then the others in the car guess what the word is.  We love this game on short rides - we end up laughing just as much as we try figuring out the words.

Blessing of the day:  Laughter with my kids :)

To Shave or Not to Shave.....

It has been one busy weekend. Jenni didn't want to go to town with us today, she was sleeping in....so, Haley and I went to town to get some more paint for the house and a few groceries. Dewayne was with my dad working on 'food plots'. Haley is VERY talkative....so, we got on the topic of shaving legs AGAIN! I did hate how long my mom made we wait as a child, and I was picked on for almost 2 years because of my hairy legs. Haley competes in gymnastics so, we had a good talk about it. I always thought Jenni and Kristen would be here to help me with this - but, that isn't how it worked out. Jenni agreed that Haley was 'hairy' SO did Aunt Rebecca and Aunt Sarah (my sisters). Haley was excited - her words were, "Finally, someone is on my side!" We went to Wal-Mart, I let her pick out which color Nair she wanted to use, we finished up shopping and came home. Haley was so excited the WHOLE day!! Jenni and I went to work on her legs....now, I used this same type of product when I was younger - and it has the same terrible smell. Haley of course said, "That smells like rotten eggs but I don't care!" Jenni and I could do nothing but giggle at Haley's excitement!! Upon completion (a DOUBLE treatment) and smooth legs Haley says to me, "Now my legs aren't shady in the sun!" I asked, "If they are shady, what are they?" She gives me that 'duah' look with her big blue eyes and calmly says, "They're shinny, DUH!" I laughed at her and she just cracked up! Today goes down in the history books!!

A few pictures to enjoy!!

Another accomplishment of the day - Jenni and Haley decided to carve the pumpkin! I will take a few pictures tomorrow!! The pumpkin is VERY CUTE!!

My wonderful husband got the new track lights in the living room - a few trial and error moments but, they work and light up the room.

My blessing of the day: A lifelong memory with Haley....and Jenni helped me :)
